Wilson County Republican Party Announces 2025 Annual Convention

The Wilson County Republican Party is excited to announce its 2025 Annual Convention, a key event where local Republicans come together to shape the future of the party in our county and beyond. This is an opportunity to get involved, have your voice heard, and take an active role in the political process.

📅 Date: Tuesday, March 18, 2025
📍 Location: Wilson Elks Lodge, 2814 Fieldstream Dr., Wilson, NC
🕔 Doors Open: 5:00 PM for sign-in and verification of party affiliation

Who Can Attend?

This convention is open to all registered Republicans in Wilson County. Non-Republicans are welcome to attend as guests but will not be permitted to vote. To ensure an accurate headcount and smooth voting process, guests will be asked to sit separately during elections.

Agenda

• 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM | Precinct Meetings – Local precincts will gather to discuss their plans and elect leadership.
• 6:30 PM | County Convention Begins
  • Election of party officers and executive committee members
  • Review and acceptance of the Plan of Organization
  • Selection of delegates for the First Congressional District and NCGOP conventions

Note: If you wish to serve as a delegate for the District and NCGOP conventions, you must be elected at the county convention. Being elected does not require you to attend those conventions, but it ensures you have the right to vote should you choose to go.

Speakers & Refreshments

In addition to conducting official business, we will have guest speakers to discuss important issues facing our party and community. We’ll also take a short break for food and fellowship.

• Cost: Free to attend (Donations appreciated to help cover food costs)
• Food & Drinks: Light snacks, tea, and water will be provided. Other non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
• Alcohol Policy: No alcohol is permitted during the convention. However, the bar will open after the event concludes for those who wish to stay and socialize.

This is an exciting time for the Wilson County Republican Party, and we encourage all registered Republicans to attend and take part in shaping the direction of our party. Whether you’re interested in leadership, serving as a delegate, or simply staying informed, your participation matters!
